My Pan Cake Recipe

1 cup all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted/vegetable oil
1 large egg



  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.  In a small bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon ,and salt; set aside. This will be our 'dry ingredients mixture'.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, butter (or oil), and egg. Add 'dry ingredients mixture' to milk mixture; whisk until just moistened (do not overmix).
  3. Heat a large skillet/pan (nonstick or cast-iron) .Carefully brush skillet/pan with butter/oil.
  4. For each pancake, spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter onto skillet, using the back of the spoon to spread batter into a round (you should be able to fit 2 to 3 in a large skillet).
  5. Cook until surface of pancakes have some bubbles and a few have burst, 1 to 2 minutes. Flip carefully with a thin spatula, and cook until browned on the underside, 1 to 2 minutes more.
  6.  Serve warm, with desired toppings.

Spicy Lobster ( মসলাযুক্ত গলদা চিংড়ি )

" It's a known fact that Lobsters fall in love and mate for life. You can actually see,old lobster couples walking around their tank, holding claws."---okay definitely no clue if that is true or not,but  Phoebe Buffay said so in FRIENDS ! Anyways,whether this fact is true or not,but I know it's true,that Lobsters are super tasty  !
So here is my version of Lobster. It's very simple,you can find all the ingredients at your home anytime,any day. And it's delicious !

Serves : 2
  • Lobsters 2
  • Unsalted Butter  1 stick ( 1/2 cup /  8 table spoon / 4 oz )
  • Chopped Onion half cup
  • Garlic paste 1 tea spoon
  • Seasoning (Old Bay Seasoning for Seafood,Poultry,Salads & Meats ) 1 tea spoon
  • Egg 1
  • Chilli powder 2 tea spoon
  • Breadcrumbs 1 table spoon
  • Salt half tea spoon 
  • Corn starch 1 tea spoon 
  • Hot Water 1 cup


1. Wash the lobsters with clean , cold water and little bit lemon juice.
2. Whisk the egg and add the lobsters in it,each at a time. Mix the lobsters in the egg,then rub them gently in breadcrumbs.
3. Heat a small non-stick frying pan for a minute or so.
4. Cut the butter stick in half and keep one half aside and put another half in the heated pan.
5. Add all the chopped onions in the pan, before the butter starts to melt.Now let it all sit,without stirring for 20 seconds.
7. Add salts,chilli powder
.
8. Now add garlic paste and the seasoning in the onion. Stir for about 10 seconds.
9. Add the other half of the butter stick in the pan. And put the lobsters in the pan,over the newly melted butter.
10. Do not stir the lobsters with the onions. Let them fry for about 10 seconds.
11. After 10 seconds the shells of the lobsters will become orange . After they are orange,it is time for you to flip them.
12. Now stir the lobsters with the onions  . After another 10 seconds, flip them again.
13. Now  mix the corn starch in 1 cup hot water and pour them in the pan,along with the lobsters. Now stir a lil bit,so that the corn starch water can mix with the lobsters. Now let them sit in the pan for 3 mint. After 3 mint,you will see the corn starch water and the onions have made a thick sauce and you will feel the aroma of the lobsters mixed with butter. That's when you know,that they are perfectly done.
14. Now turn off the heat and serve the lobsters with some freshly cut pieces of lemons.

Mini Berry Tarts with French Crème Pâtissière (pastry cream)

If you have never made french pastry cream before,then you're in for a treat !  So velvety,so smooth.
Serve 8


Pastry Cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 table spoon salted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 2 tea spoon vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
1.Beat the egg yolks,add the granulated sugar in it.  Mix until it becomes thick. Add the corn starch.
2. Microwave the milk. After the milk is hot enough,keep pouring it into the egg yolk mixture and keep stirring ( because you know,you don't wanna make scrambled egg ).
3. Heat a pot on the stove,on medium heat. Pour all the mixture into the pot. Heat it for 3/4 minutes ,but keep on whisking the mixture. DO NOT stop whisking,not even for a single second. After 3/4 minutes it will become really thick and lumpy,that is when you need to turn off your heat.
4. Pour the vanilla into the mixture and whisk it for a minute,until it is completely combined.
5.Now put the butter in a glass dish. And keep a clean sieve on top of the dish. Now pour the whole mixture into the glass dish,through the sieve. This is to get rid off the little lumps from the mixture , that may have occurred.
6.Now mix all of these together.
7.After mixing thoroughly, wrap this in a plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Dough for the tart
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tea spoon salt
  • 1 table spoon vanilla
1.Mix the egg and butter in a bowl. Add the icing sugar and mix again. Pour in the vanilla. Once these are all well combined, add the flour in it and mix again.
2,After everything is combined properly,scrape them out of the bowl and wrap it with a plastic wrap. You can shape this in a round shape after it is wrapped .Try to make it as flat as possible,which makes it easier to roll after.
3.Now keep it in the fridge for 1 hour.

Now for the tart,sprinkle a lil bit flour on the board where you will roll your dough. And let's get started !
1.Roll the dough,don't make it too thick or too thin either.
2. Now use a cookie cutter to cut little pieces from the dough ,for your tarts. And put the pieces in your cupcake tin.

3.Now grab a fork and apply little holes in the pieces. Now keep them in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
4.After 30 minutes bake them in  the oven for 325 F degree/ 163 C degree for 30 minutes.
5.After 30 minutes, take them out of the oven and let them cool down. After they are cooled down,take them out of the cupcake tin. They will look like beautiful brown shells.
6.After they are completely cooled,fill them with the pastry cream. You can fill them with the help of a piping bag or just a regular spoon. I used a regular tea spoon.  And decorate them with raspberries or black berries .

Gustoso Italiano tiramisù

Tiramisu  is one of my very favorite desserts. It was pretty exciting to make it for the first time. It's very easy to make and 100 times more delicious to eat. 

Serves: 4 

  • 1 cup Mascarpone
  • 2 cups strong coffee - ideally espresso (cooled)
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 2 cups whipped cream 
  • 25ml Cognac/ Brandy/ Kahlua
  • approx. 16 lady /sponge fingers
  • Cocoa powder 2 table spoon, just to sprinkle on top
  • 1/4 cup shaved dark chocolate or cherry for garnishing
     

Prep:20min  ›  Extra time:6 hr chilling  ›  Ready in:6hr20min

 

  1. Add the sugar to the egg yolks. Beat well until the mixture is creamy enough. Add the mascarpone , whipped cream and half of the cognac,kahlua or brandy, and beat well.
  2. In another utensil, beat the egg whites, until stiff. Pour the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone mixture.
  3. Pour espresso coffee into a shallow dish along with the remaining cognac/brandy/kahlua . Stir well. Dip each lady finger in the espresso mixture( dip each one just for 2 seconds), working one at a time, and line the bottom of a glass dish. (If you use a square shaped dish,then it's very easy to place them;but if you wish to place them in a round or oval shaped dish,then make sure to cut the lady fingers in half before dipping them into the coffee. By cutting them in half or even smaller pieces,makes them easier to fit in round or oval shaped dish)
  4. Once the bottom of the dish is covered in an even layer of espresso-soaked lady fingers, top with 1/2 of the mascarpone mixture. Dust with 1/2 of the cocoa. Repeat with another lady finger layer, then finally the remaining mascarpone and a final dusting of cocoa powder.
Chill in the fridge for about 6 hours, before serving. And garnish with shaved dark chocolates or cherry ,before serving.
